Friendly Persuasion Update Log

FPC Version 0.4 - August 31st, 2026 (improvements over Version 0.2):

• Fixed item of compiler errata (string input now has newline correctly stripped)

• Fixed item of compiler errata x2 (the intermediate C file now displays correct version number -- previously displayed 0)

A minor update, but important nonetheless.

FPC Version 0.2 - August 26th, 2026 (improvements over Version 0):

• Fixed item of compiler errata (strings now correctly copy)

• Licensed as Free Software under the GPL

The .2 in the version number refers to the number of changes since the previous version.

FPC Version 0 - August 21st, 2026 (improvements over prototype):

• Faster compilation time - rewritten in C

• Formatting allowed - fpt.c removes indentations

• Less unnecessary repetitions - implementation of several hash tables in fpc.c to contain varying operators

Future update: at some point I will rewrite the hash function (which converts char * to int for index) to be less collision prone. After which, I will have moved on to working on SNOMAN in my free time (See also: my ideas page).
